Tryout Information

WHY: The goal of the Huskies AAU organization is to instill and further each player’s overall basketball development through the proper teaching of fundamentals by professional coaches. Playing experience is invaluable when proper technique and skills are taught.

Who: All girls seeking Development and Elite level AAU basketball in grades 5th -10th including returning players as well as those players looking for new teams, a different experience or seeking their first playing opportunity.

When and Where: Please confirm your intention to tryout through email notification.

Metrowest tryout - Sunday, January 31st at Meadowbrook School , 10 Farm Rd, Weston MA; 5th - 7th grade - 6:00-7:30pm; 8th-10th grade - 7:30-9:00pm

North Shore tryout – Saturday, February 13th at Lynnfield High School, 275 Essex St Lynnfield, MA; 5th - 7th grade - 6:00-7:30pm; 8th-10th grade - 7:30-9:00pm.

Tryout Cost: $25.00 per player/$15.00 for returning players.

Teams: There will be developmental teams for beginners and intermediate players as well as Elite level teams for advanced players.

Do we have to attend both tryouts? No, attend the tryout in the graphic region for the team you wish to be considered for.

How many practices per week? Typically, the practices will be once per week.

How many tournaments? Four spring tournaments.

Where are the tournaments? The Huskies will stay inside the 495 belt for tournaments

How long does the season last? : The spring season typically ends late May into early June.

How much does it cost? The cost will be approximately $450 to $475 plus the cost of the uniform.
