College Experience Showcase Camp

The College Experience Showcase Camp is a unique event that will allow players to learn what it is like to be a college basketball player as well as gain exposure from college coaches. Players will gain useful information through seminars and playing for current college coaches in games and a college level practice. At the event the entire coaching staff will be made up of college coaches. There will be college coaches from California to Florida on the coaching staff, as well from several from around the Midwest.

The College Experience Showcase Camp will take place on Saturday July 1st at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, IL. The event is for serious players in grades 9-12 (Fall 2017). At this event not only will players gain exposure to college coaches and scouting services but also learn what it takes to play college basketball and help them on their path to college. 

Players will get to learn what it is like to be coached by college coaches, go through a college level practice, play in games coached by college coaches, seminars, take a campus tour, and more. Lunch will be provided for all players. At the camp players will gain exposure from our entire coaching staff of college coaches as well as additional college coaches who are recruiting at the camp.

  • 11:30am-12:00pm: Weightlifting Seminar 
  • 12:00pm-12:45pm: Lunch (provided by us)
  • 12:45pm-1:15pm: Campus Tour and what to look for when visiting colleges

Event Seminars

During the camp, players will take part in a few seminars to gain more knowledge of what it takes to play college basketball and how to help them on their path to get there. The seminars will include;

  • NCAA Academic Requirements 
  • What it takes to play college basketball from a college coach
  • Campus tour
  • How to lift weights like a college player

Elmhurst College

The entire event will take place at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, IL. Elmhurst is located under 25 minutes west from downtown Chicago as well as under 15 minutes from Chicago O'Hare Airport. Additionally it is located closely to interstates 294, 290, and 88. 

Elmhurst College is a NCAA Div. 3 school that plays in the prestigious CCIW conference, often regarded as the top Div. 3 basketball conference in the nation.

Elmhurst College was rated this past year as one of the top 10 regional universities in the Midwest by the US News & World Report. As well Elmhurst College was rated as a "Best in the Midwest" school by the Princeton Review for a 12th consecutive time.

The highlight video will contain all of the players best plays from the showcase camps games and drills. The professionally made video will be placed on YouTube and sent to you for easy viewing. As well the video will be sent to over a thousand college coaches from all across the Midwest.

Midwest Hoops Spotlight

Each player will get a free recruitment profile Midwest Hoops Spotlight website. Players will also have the chance to make MHS's prestigious event Top 20 Player List as well as their Midwest player rankings. 

MHS will also write a scouting report on each player and send it out to every college program in the country. Players scouting reports will be featured on their Midwest Hoops Spotlight profile. 

Players who get a highlight video at the showcase will have it featured on their profile.
