A Professionally Run Basketball Operation

We love basketball and are passionate about running organized, high quality, family friendly, instructive, and motivational girls’ basketball camps. Hoop Mountain Mid Atlantic is run by a team of professionals with years of experience in basketball, school administration, and business. We challenge you to find a basketball camp that is more organized, customer oriented, and professionally run than ours.

Terry Frederick, President – Mr Frederick runs the business operations of Hoop Mountain Mid Atlantic. Mr Frederick provides player scouting reports to college coaches and serves on the nominating committee for the selection of McDonalds High School All-Americans. He has over 20 years of management experience as an engineering manager for a major Aerospace company. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Business Management.

Larry DiGiovanni (Coach “D”), Director – Coach D is the director of basketball operations. He has been a school administrator serving as a school vice-principal for over 20 years. He is the head womens basketball coach for Holy Spirit (NJ) high school which is one of the top programs in New Jersey. Coach D has over 30 years of coaching experience. He is one of the finest teachers of the game and has helped numerous student athletes get recruited to play college sports.

Fred Richter (DeSales University Women’s Basketball Head coach) - Coach Richter provides his vast basketball knowledge and experience to Hoop Mountain as an advisor and staff coach. Coach Richter enters his 17th season in Center Valley as one of the most successful coaches in the entire Mid-Atlantic Region. He opens the season with a career record of 305-135 (.693) and is one of just two coaches in DeSales history (all sports) to garner 300+ wins.

Steve Kaneshiki: Coach Kaneshiki has been named interim Head Women’s coach at Washington College for the 2007-08 season. As head coach of Cumberland County College, his 2004-05 team earned All-Academic Team honors with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.4, the seventh-highest of any junior college women's basketball team in the nation regardless of division.

Jay Reed: St. Joseph (NJ) women’s head coach and respected teacher of the game.

Great Facilities...

Our summer team camps are held at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA. The university has modern air-conditioned dormitories and dining hall, great food, and first rate basketball facilities.
